DAY 5 of the 30-day Yoga Challenge done!
Definitely had lower energy today but I showed up and gave it my best. Laura and Sheila helped me out with a great suggestion for slippy hands on the mat. There are these cool towels that you can place over top of your mat. Love the mellow, calming lighting in the studio which is great for relaxing but a bit dark for a photo so it is hard to see the little plastic bumps on the underside of the towel. The trick is to first lightly dampen where your hands would go when in downward dog with some water and it can help improve your grip on the mat. And has a side-benefit of keeping your hands nice and cool if you happen to over-heat easily. Just saying.
